About class
Ania will share their practice of Flying Low and Passing Through techniques, which were originally developed by David Zambrano. These techniques offer people a different approach to go in and out of the floor in spiral, as well as across the space and through people in curved pathways. You can expect to move through different paces, to learn some set routines as well as improvised material, looking for clarity, grounding, playfulness and interconnectivity in movement!
About Ania
Ania Varez (they/them) is a Venezuelan dance artist and community worker based in Bristol. They graduated with honours from the London Contemporary Dance School. Ania makes experimental and collaborative performance, working with other dancers, artists of other disciplines and often with people who don't identify as artists yet. They have worked with Lisa May Thomas, Terrestrial, Nik Rawlings and Shotput Theatre. Their own work has toured internationally (Taiwan and South Korea) as well as in the UK, including SPILL Festival.They are a member of Interval, an artist support network in Bristol.

Mae Ania Vares (nhw/eu) yn artist dawns a gweithiwr cymunedol o Venesuela ac bellach yn byw ym Mhryste. Graddiwyd ac anrhydedd o London Contemporary Dance School. Mae Ania yn creu perfformiadau arbrofol a cydweithredol, gan weithio efo dawnswyr eraill, artistiaid â disgybliaethau gwahanol ac yn aml pobl sydd ddim yn adnabod eu hunain fel artistiaid eto. Maent wedi gweithio efo Lisa May Thomas, Terrestrial, Nik Rawlings a Shotput Theatre. Mae eu gwaith wedi teithio’n rhyngwladol (Taiwan a De Corea) ynghyd â’r Deyrnas Unedig, gan gynnwys gwyl SPILL. Maent yn aelod o Interval, rhwydwaith cefnogi artistiaid yn Bryste.
