Ania
Varez

Date: Thursday 10th April

Time: 10:00am - 11:30am

Venue: Chapter Arts, Cardiff

About class

During these classes, Ania will share their practice of Flying Low and Passing Through. These techniques have been developed by David Zambrano for the last few decades, and together they offer a different approach to moving in and out of the floor: we will use a constant spiral motion to travel up and down, as well as through the space, looking to dance in connection to everyone in the room, enjoying the different pathways we may create! We will work with set sequences and also some improvisation scores.

For the improvised section of the class, we will work with our vision and how our eyes can support the flow of the improvisation, whilst the sequences are more individual and focused on finding the spiral motion in our own bodies. The class may include gentle touch. This class will be energetic, with lots of going up and down, sometimes slowly and sometimes quickly, as well as an upbeat playlist!

Y Dosbarth

Yn ystod y dosbarthiadau yma, mi fydd Ania yn rhannu ei ymarfer o Flying Low a Passing Through. Mae’r technegau yma wedi cael eu datblygu yn y degawdau diwethaf gan David Zambrano, gyda’i gilydd maent yn cynnig dynesiad gwahanol i symud i fewn ac allan o’r llawr: fe fyddwn yn defnyddio symudiad troelli cyson er mwyn symud i fyny ar i lawr, ynghyd a symud trwy’r gofod, gan edrych i ddawnsio mewn cysylltiad a pawb yn yr ystafell, gan ddefnyddio llwybrau gwahanol byddwn yn creu! Fe fyddwn yn gweithio efo dilynianau set a rhai sgoriau byrfyfyriol.

Ar gyfer yr adranau byrfyfyr o’r dosbarth fe fyddwn yn gweithio efo’n golwg a su gall ein llygaid helpu llif y gwaith byrfyfyr, tra bydd y dilyniannau yn fwy unigol gan ffocysu ar ffeindio’r symudiad troelli trwy ein cyrff. Mi gall y dosbarth gynnwys cyffyrddiadau. Mi fydd y dosbarth yma yn egniol, gyda llawer o symud i fyny ac i lawr, weithiau’n araf a weithiau’n gyflym, ynghyd rhestr chwarae upbeat!
