Eddie Ladd

Mae Eddie yn byw ar ffarm yng Ngheredigion a bydd yn gweithio mewn treilyr bach i lunio gwaith corfforol y prosiect. Nid oes ond lle ynddo am un creadur dynol ac fe ddaw’r thema, sgript, arddull a cherddoriaeth – a’r modd y gall cynulleidfa wylio’r darn! – i’r amlwg wrth symud yn y gofod cyfyng hwn.

Mae wedi bod yn berfformiwr theatr gorfforol ers 1986. Bu’n gweithio gyda chwmni theatr arbrofol Brith Gof am ddegawd a chychwyn creu ei gwaith ei hun ym 1990, sydd yn cyfuno iaith, symud, cerddoriaeth, a chyfryngau digidol amrywiol. Mae’n hoff o weithio coreograffi mewn gofod "fel ag y mae" yn hytrach nag un a bwrpaswyd ar ei gyfer, a llwyfanwyd y darn cyn y prosiect hwn, sydd yn waith byw ar gyfer sgrîn, yn y beudy ar y ffarm. Mae hefyd yn coreograffu ar gyfer cwmnïoedd theatr a chantorion pop, megis Theatr Cymru, Gwenno a Georgia Ruth, ac yn arwain prosiectau cymunedol. At hyn mae’n un rhan o driawd Light/Ladd/Emberton.
Eddie lives on a farm in Ceredigion and will work in an animal trailer to make the project’s choreography. There is only room in it for one human creature and the theme, script, style and music – and a way for an audience to watch the piece! – will develop from working in this restricted space.
Eddie has been a physical theatre performer since 1986. She worked for experimental theatre company Brith Gof for a decade and began making her own work in 1990, which combines language, movement, music and various digital media. It sometimes takes place in spaces that are “as they are” rather than purposed for it and for the project before this one staged a live dance-theatre piece for screen in the cowshed on the farm. She also choreographs for theatre companies and musicians such as Theatr Cymru, Gwenno and Georgia Ruth, leads community productions and is one third of the Light/Ladd/Emberton trio.

Thomas Meilleur
Thomas studied Fine Art at Glyndwr University. His roots are in making, but through time he has developed as a performer using space, time and the body to express themes he once formed into objects. He has directed, curated and performed in live, partially improvised, immersive events.
Through the practice of Butoh dance he has been influenced to open a door into ways of moving that encourage the rejection of conformity and deeply ingrained habitual norms.
“Walking is important to me. I know of no other activity that is as honest and direct as walking is. I am always looking for ways to disrupt and elevate this act into a creative practice, mixing the pedestrian with the profound, the everyday with the dreamworld.”
For his Seeds Residency he will facilitate a series of walks (or Odesseys) taking place in various locations (wild, urban and in between) around Wales, where he and participants will seek out sites that trigger improvised dance movement, allowing intuition to guide them toward spontaneous and immersive meetings with place.
